The Holy Kural (A Comprehensive Prose Work)

The “The Holy Kural” is written in simple language so as to enable the readers to grasp the full essence of every chapter in Thirukkural. The order of arrangement has been followed as such, i.e: the three sections on Virtue, Wealth and Love have been maintained. The appreciable point is that the set of ten couplets in each chapter (athikaaram) is not translated individually, rather there is a textual presentation of the essence of the whole. Additionally, to make sure that the reader does not miss the core philosophy, the author has ended each chapter with a few lines which carry the intended message. This makes this book so palatable that the readers do not have any problem in catching the philosophy of the Ayyan Thiruvalluvar.
